It’s hot, it’s sweaty, and it makes you feel amazing! Why is hot yoga so good for you?


Trybe Hot Yoga is the only dedicated hot yoga studio in the Preston area, covering South Ribble. Our yoga teachers know all about how incredible the effects of practising hot yoga are – but if you are new to the practice, then you probably want to know what all the fuss is about?



Practicing yoga in a heated room increases your heart rate – it also enlarges your blood vessels, which increases circulation and blood flow to your muscles and allows you to become more flexible and to maintain poses for longer, thus building your strength.



Although yoga is about so much more than controlling your weight, there is no denying that the amount you work in a hot yoga class inevitably burns a significant amount of calories, as well as building muscle tone and detoxifying the body. The elevated heart rate, together with increasing muscle tone, means that with every class you take, your endurance increases and you make better and quicker progress when compared to a regular yoga class.


Stress Management

If you’re looking for a way to cut down on stress in your life, hot yoga goes above and beyond. The endorphins that your body generates during and after completing a 60 minute hot yoga class not only leaves you feeling cleansed and calm, but also on a natural high that you don’t get from many other forms of exercise.



As well as the mental cleansing that you feel when you finish your hot yoga class, when your pores open up through sweating a lot, this releases the build up of oils and toxins in the body, which could otherwise clog pores and cause pimples and blemishes.

Is hot yoga for you?

Only you can be the judge of that by coming along to a class. What we do recommend is visiting 2 to 3 times before you decide how you feel about it. The first couple of classes can seem overly warm, but it’s something that you get used to very quickly! Before long, you’ll be seeing the amazing benefits that hot yoga brings to your life, physically, emotionally and mentally!
