STYLES OF CLASSES

There is so much on offer here at Trybe Hot Yoga that it might be difficult knowing which class is going to be the most suitable for you. If you're a beginner then for your first few classes we recommend sticking with our Trybe 60 sequence.

We appreciate not all our clients like practicing in a fully heated studio ( 38° ) so we have now introduced our most popular Trybe 60 & Trybe Flow classes in reduced heat ( up to 28° ).

All our teachers are there for you throughout the class to offer adjustments and modifications, so if something doesn't feel right, please just ask! Please have a read through the drop down descriptions before booking on. If its your very first class here at Trybe then we recommend the taking advantage of one of our introductory offers. This gives you the opportunity to experience every style and teacher to find your perfect combination.

We very much look forward to seeing you on the mat!!

TRYBE YIN YANG

In this class we explore the balance between the two sides of yoga – ’Yin’ is the grounding, softer, more cooling energy, whist ‘Yang’ is the focused, fiery and active energy.

In Yin yoga, the poses are held for a long period of time – typically three to five minutes or longer – to target the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, rather than focus on the muscles. As a result, the poses are more passive holds with little active engagement of the muscles. This works much more deeply into the muscles and connective tissue, and leaves you with a deep feeling of calm and connectedness.

The Yang element to the practice is Vinyasa-based, which provides the heat element to the practice, warming and strengthening the body. Combining the two different practices, the Yin and the Yang, helps to bring balance to the emotional and physical aspects of the body.

TRYBE PILATES

The basic principles of Pilates concentrates on breathing, control, centring, flow and connecting the mind and body. A heated Pilates class is amazing for loosening up your muscles and making it easier to get into the flow of the workout, creating results sooner. Moves are designed around strengthening the whole body especially the deep abdominal  muscles  which give the flatter stomach appearance and the muscles supporting the spine which will create a strong core. Your stabilising muscles around the pelvis are improved along with flexibility and it is perfect for postural alignment, many customers feel a difference after just a handful of classes and even say they feel taller after a class! Any level can attend and options are offered in layers for your progression.

What’s the difference between Yoga & Pilates;

They are very similar classes in they are mat work based and include similar exercises like shoulder bridge, plank, roll down, downward dog and cat stretch. Yoga poses are held for longer and each pose is complimented with a counter pose. There are no arm balances or inversions in Pilates, all the exercises are designed to work from the core and the breathing is in through the nose and out through the mouth so the opposite to Yoga on the outbreath. Due to the historical roots of yoga it can be very spiritual, Pilates does not create a distinct spiritual experience however the classes do end with a well-deserved relaxation section, why not try both!
