About The Event
Stress is the feeling of being under too much mental or emotional pressure and unfortunately nearly everyone can experience stress at one time or another. Stress if ignored and left untreated can lead to burnout. As we live in a culture that is currently on the go we can spend so much time using up our Yang energy that over time this can deplete our Yin energy. This in turn can lead to poor sleep, anxiety, stress and eventually burnout. Life is about balance and stress can be nature's way of telling you that you're out of balance and we will focus on redressing this during the workshop.
Within Chinese Medicine blood is a Yin substance which nourishes the mind. It is considered the basis for mental activity. Strong Blood ensures good sleep and helps us to wake feeling rested and helps to keep us feeling calm throughout the day. Our mind is nourished so we can remember things more easily and feel more grounded in our thoughts. The overall feeling of having strong Blood feels like we are together, that we have strength and vitality to take on the day with a clear mind.
2 hours of restorative Yin with Michelle focusing on postures which help to alleviate stress and anxiety followed by 30 minutes of guided meditation. Acupuncture will be applied during the guided mediation by Kristina who will place small acupuncture needles in the feet, ankles, abdomen, face and hands to nourish the smooth flow of blood allowing you an even deeper Savasana. Kristina’s journey into complementary healthcare started 13 years ago when she began to study Reiki for her own physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. In September 2017 she created Harwood Wellbeing offering Acupuncture, Reflexology, Reiki and TuiNa.
A truly exciting collaboration merging the two ancient modalities of yoga and acupuncture to bring you deep rest, nourishment and healing.
Please bring a blanket and a pillow for your comfort. No previous experience of yoga or acupuncture is required but you will need to fill out a health consent form prior to the workshop.
£25 for this 2.5 hour workshop. Spaces are limited to 20 people.
