TRYBE 60

Trybe 60 is our signature series, made up of 40 postures  to target all areas of the body and the mind in just 60 minutes. Perfect for beginners, this practice incorporates pranayama (breathing techniques),  with standing, balancing and seated postures, all held for 5 breaths, working on strengthening the body, whilst releasing physical tension in the muscles and joints. This sequence has no weight bearing on the wrists or shoulders making it the ideal practice for students who may suffer  in these areas.

ROCKET YOGA

60 minute set sequence rooted in Ashtanga Vinyasa style hot yoga practice. 'The Rocket' was developed in the 1980's by Larry Schultz who wanted to form a new intuitive style of sequence. It breaks down the rigidity of the classical Ashtanga practice to make it more accessible for all practitioners. Dynamic and flowing it consists of sun salutations, standing and seated postures and twists and backbends.

TRYBE YIN

In Yin yoga the poses are held for a longer period of time, typically 3-5 minutes but sometimes longer. It aims to target the fascia and deep connective tissues, rather than the focus being on the muscles. As a result, the poses held are more passive with little muscular engagement. This works more deeply into the body and leaves you with a deep feeling of calm and connectedness. Perfect if you want to explore the more grounded, cooling, calming side of yoga.

TRYBE MANDALA

The Intention of the Mandala Vinyasa practice is to honor the creative energy in all its manifestations. The practice integrates the spiral patterns that nature uses to shape and create the material and energetical substances into our bodies. It opens us into deeper introspection as we move and expand around the mat, while exploring circular movements with our bodies. It leads us into places that perhaps our awareness would not have access to by following a linear pattern. The power of this practice resides in the fact that it follows a specific purpose and methodology. This can be a peak asana, a specific chakra or a particular element. The clear intention of the practice allow us to revisit groups of muscles or target areas of the body that will help us reach our goal. This repetition is a constant massage that starts with the Sun Salutes or Warm Up and is reinforced in different perspectives in the Standing and Seated Series, creating familiarity and comfort in its objective.

TRYBE PILATES

The basic principles of Pilates concentrates on breathing, control, centring, flow and connecting the mind and body. A heated Pilates class is amazing for loosening up your muscles and making it easier to get into the flow of the workout, creating results sooner. Moves are designed around strengthening the whole body especially the deep abdominal  muscles  which give the flatter stomach appearance and the muscles supporting the spine which will create a strong core. Your stabilising muscles around the pelvis are improved along with flexibility and it is perfect for postural alignment, many customers feel a difference after just a handful of classes and even say they feel taller after a class! Any level can attend and options are offered in layers for your progression.

What’s the difference between Yoga & Pilates;

They are very similar classes in they are mat work based and include similar exercises like shoulder bridge, plank, roll down, downward dog and cat stretch. Yoga poses are held for longer and each pose is complimented with a counter pose. There are no arm balances or inversions in Pilates, all the exercises are designed to work from the core and the breathing is in through the nose and out through the mouth so the opposite to Yoga on the outbreath. Due to the historical roots of yoga it can be very spiritual, Pilates does not create a distinct spiritual experience however the classes do end with a well-deserved relaxation section, why not try both!
