Stuart Alexander

Stuart naturally fell in to yoga as a means if injury rehabilitation 13 years ago due to persistent knee problems resulting from 25 years of practising and teaching karate. He later qualified with Yoga Alliance in 2010 and opened Liverpools first Hot Yoga studio in 2011. Stuart founded Banyan Tree School of Yoga with Francis Perry in 2012. He teaches hot and non hot yoga at Yoga Hub Liverpool which he founded in 2013.

“Yoga has taught me how to take care of my body and live a more contented life. Like many people when I first tried a yoga class in a gym, I thought it was just about stretching exercises. It’s amazing to see the difference yoga can make to a person’s health and happiness after just a few weeks of practise. When teaching, I like the atmosphere to be fun, focused and calming so students leave a class feeling relaxed and happy, and having learnt something new about themselves or their practice.”
