The Pilates Room @Trybe
Pilates is a series of movements aimed to improve overall health and quality of life. Developed by Joseph Pilates in the 1920s, Contrology, its original name, was founded as a number (34 to be precise) of exercises to optimise the health of the body, helping assist with the rehabilitation process after injury, prevention or improvement of long term issues such as back pain, pelvic floor strength and poor posture, through the strengthening and stabilisation of core muscles.
The Pilates Studio is a small, friendly boutique studio, set in the heart of Penwortham, upstairs within Trybe Hot Yoga Studio. The studio has a range of large equipment including reformer, cadillac and wunder chair, and offers a range of one to one and small group classes for mat work and equipment.
Exercises can be modified to cater for individual requirementss, such as pregnancy, osteoporosis, chronic illness (CFS/ME, Fibromyalgia) and Parkinsons, to name but a few. The group classes are small which allows you to get the attention you require in order for your body to get the most out the Pilates experience.
